THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED.

The Kludahk Outdoors Club relies heavily on donations. All donations are designated for trail maintenance and cabin improvements. The Club is run completely by volunteers who contribute their time and energy to maintaining the Trail for everyone’s enjoyment.

In 2021 we successfully raised enough funds to purchase more treadplate which will be placed along the trail at the biggest spots to keep your boots dry and prevent environmental damage to the sensitive ecosystem.

The Kludahk Trail has enjoyed a lot of enthusiastic hikers in 2021 and expects many in 2022. We continue to preserve and protect the Trail from the inevitable environmental damage from all those feet.

Most of the Kludahk Trail passes through sensitive alpine meadows and wetlands which are particularly susceptible to damage during wet periods. During such periods only limited use is acceptable. To minimize the impact on the terrain, hikers are requested to avoid traveling in groups of more than eight and to practice “no-trace” hiking and camping.

The Kludahk Outdoors Club is mandated with the maintenance of the  Trail for the enjoyment of all users.

Treadplate is made from aluminum and doesn’t rot like wood. It lasts a very long time, is easy to place into the most sensitive and wettest areas of the trail.

All of the work done on the Kludahk Trail is done by volunteers. We have no paid staff. Member applicants have to complete a work party in order to meet the membership requirements. Member participation in work parties is much appreciated as often the majority of the work involved in holding work parties lands on the shoulders of a few.

While some people ask us if they can groom the trail on their own, we are required to maintain the trail in a regulated manner and working on the trail on your own is not allowed. If you wish to help, please join a work party. Notices are sent out to all new member applicants as soon as conditions allow work parties to be held.

Think about making a monthly donation which helps spread your larger donation over the year.  Donations $20 and over will receive a charitable receipt from the Kludahk Outdoors Club if you provide your name, mailing address and email address.

Your one-time donation or monthly (sustaining) donations will help the Kludahk Outdoors Club maintain the Trail for future generations.

We appreciate your donation and your assistance to improve your experience on the Kludahk Trail.  Many thanks to our supporters.

Let’s keep our feet dry!
