Apply for Membership
There are 3 Steps to become a Member of the Kludahk Outdoors Club. Please read this page carefully.
1. Read the club philosophy, which is part of the Application form (link below) to see if it is one that you can accept and conduct yourself accordingly.
2. Once you have read the philosophy and can accept it, complete the Membership Application and mail the completed application to the address on the form. We do not accept membership applications by email.
3. Once the application has been received and reviewed the Club will contact you with information on participation in a work party. Participation in a work party is a requirement for membership.
NOTE: Work parties are held as soon as the snow is melted on the Trail (May or June) and generally go well into the late fall. Work parties are not held during high fire hazards. Some work parties require hiking a good distance on the Trail carrying heavy equipment and are held regardless of the weather conditions as long as conditions are deemed safe. Work parties are not held during winter months. You will be given several choices of dates for work parties. If after 5 work party dates have been sent to you and you have not attended one, your application will be expunged from our files. Once you have completed the work party requirement, your application will go to our directors for review. You are not a member until you have received our notice of acceptance email and have paid the membership fee.
All work parties are led by volunteer club members.
4. Once the work party has been completed your application will be reviewed by the Directors and the membership director will provide you with additional club information on your approval into the Club. Payment of your membership fee will be requested once you are approved for membership.
5. By applying for membership, you are confirming that you have read and agree to the Kludahk Outdoor Club’s Philosophy.
Download and print the Membership Application form. Download Application Here. The completed membership application must be mailed to the address on the form. We do not accept membership applications by email.
Cabin Bookings: Cabin bookings are for approved and paid-up members. Member applicants cannot book cabins. Tent platforms are at every cabin and are available to members of the general public on a first come, first serve basis. Members can and do arrive for their cabin bookings at any time of day or night.
The access roads are active logging roads or de-commissioned logging roads. Most are accessible only by 4×4. Be prepared for your vehicle to be scratched by brush along the roads. Be prepared for backcountry driving and backcountry trail conditions.
